CO-FOUNDER + OWNER THEY/THEM
Sam Guthrie is a Queer Non-Binary (They/Them) Body Art and Restorative Tattooer liscenced and working in California. They created and earned a Bachelor’s Degree which focused was on Queer & Gender studies, Strucural Oppression and inclusion with a minor in Education and Social Justice at Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies at WWU in NW Washington in 2014.After years of following the PMU field they saw a huge gap of opportunity for PMU to be utilized as Gender Affirming tools for the Transgender and Gender Expansive communities.
From this realization PMU in Transition was created to provide education and support for the PMU artists and educators out there to help bridge the gap through better understanding of clients’ experiences, cultural differences, and how to maximize inclusivity to best serve the community. Sam has professional experience in facilitating an inclusive space and is passionate about making gender inclusivity training accessible.
